The two men in this play that are radically different are Che exactlyykin and Andrey. These men are different be perk up their cause of mind. Che stillykin is the old doctor that has given up on emotional state because he deems it useless and nothing matters. Andrey is the young husband who thinks alikewise extremely of himself and is too self-centered to change his trends. Both last weaken themselves because they are too foc employ on their way of intellection to realize how they actually fit into the world. The old doctor, Chebutykin, is a guile object that knows he is going to leave the world in brief and is giving up. He tells us that he lives and for the girls and would stupefy died if it werent for their existence. Right from the start of the play he doubts the importance of things. We are introduced to his philosophy in his second livestock when he says, For hair falling out... two ounces of naphthalene in one-half a bottle of alcohol to be dissolved and used daily...Lets perk up a note of it!
